Hindustan Unilever appointed Rohit Jawa as MD and CEO

Rohit Jawa has been appointed as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Hindustan Unilever Ltd (HUL) on 27th June 2023. Jawa has taken over from Sanjiv Mehta, who retired on 26th June following the organisation’s annual general meeting.

Mehta passed the mantle to Jawa, who took over as an Additional Director and CEO-Designate on April 1. Mehta has been CEO for about a decade and has been with the organisation for over 30 years. Jawa was previously the Chief of Change for Unilever in Europe. He started his career with Hindustan Unilever Ltd in 1988 as a management trainee and has a strong track record of long-term business results in India, South East Asia, and North Asia. Mehta took over as HUL’s MD and CEO in October 2013.
