Madhivanan Balakrishnan joins IDFC First Bank’s Board

IDFC First Bank Ltd appoints Madhivanan Balakrishnan as the whole time Director on 21st June 2023.

Madhivanan  Balakrishnan was Chief Technology & Digital Officer (CTDO) at ICICI Bank prior to his role as COO at IDFC FIRST Bank. Madhivanan possesses a diverse background in company development, operations, customer insights, and technology, making him a customer-centric and highly regarded industry thought leader. He brings diverse operational, technical, and managerial experience. Madhivanan has a proven track record of establishing new firms, creating sustainable growth, and realising value in diverse and volatile market environments.

He has also been a part of successful business turnarounds and has conducted engaging and insightful organisational changes.

Madhavan also held the position of the Managing Director and Global CEO of 3i Infotech Ltd., an IT product and services firm with considerable competence in the ERP and BFSI sectors. He has served as the Executive Director of ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company. He possesses a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Mumbai University as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.
