Bhaskar Sharma joins Polycab Board, TP Ostwal, RS Sharma reappointed

Bhaskar Sharma, a business leader and marketing expert, has been appointed as an Additional (Non-executive Independent) Director at Polycab for a first term of 3 years, starting from 12th May 2023. He has extensive experience in general management, market development, and building high-performance teams in emerging markets across Asia Pacific, Africa, and the Middle East. He is currently the Director and Chief Executive Officer of Red Bull India and has previously held leadership positions at Unilever Asia and Unilever Foods. Mr. Sharma has completed his MBA and Masters of Science from Mumbai

T. P. Ostwal, a qualified Chartered Accountant and Senior Partner at T. P. Ostwal and Associates LLP, has been re-appointed as an Independent Director at Polycab for a second term of 5 years, starting from 20th September 2023. He has served as a member of advisory groups for establishing Transfer Pricing Regulations in India and is also a professor at Vienna University teaching International Tax for LLM studies. Mr. Ostwal is ranked 11th among the top 50 Tax Professionals in the world and serves as an Independent Director on the board of several other companies. He is also a regular speaker on international tax in India and abroad.

R S Sharma, former Chairman and Managing Director of ONGC has been re-appointed as an Independent Director at Polycab for a second term of 2 years, from 20th September 2023. He is a qualified Cost Accountant from ICWA and holds an Associate Certificate from The Indian Institute of Bankers. Mr. Sharma has served on the board of numerous companies.
