Six Independent Directors Of NALCO Retire
Ravi Nath Jha, Dr. B. R. Ramakrishna, Dr. Ajay Narang, Y. P. Chillio, Dr. Shatorupa, and Adv. Dushyant Upadhyay have completed their tenure and ceased to be the Independent Directors of National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) on November 9, 2024.
NALCO, a ‘Navratna’ CPSE founded on January 7, 1981, operates one of India’s largest bauxite, alumina, aluminium, and power complexes. The Indian government owns 51.28% of its equity. NALCO’s facilities include a bauxite mine, alumina refinery, aluminium smelter, and captive power plant in Odisha. The company has regional offices and stockyards across India. NALCO also focuses on green initiatives, with wind and solar power installations. In FY 2023-24, NALCO achieved a net profit of Rs 2,060 crore. It is listed on the BSE and NSE and holds multiple ISO certifications.
