Vedanta Appoints John Slaven as CEO – Aluminium Business

John Slaven is Appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Vedanta Limited’s Aluminium Business with effect from 3rd October 2023. The Company also elevated COO Stephen Russell Moore to the post of Deputy Chief Executive Officer for Cairn Oil and Gas with effect from 4th August 2023. John is a global leader who has worked in key executive roles in the Australian mining and metals major BHP Billiton and BCG. At Vedanta, John will be leading all aspects of the strategy of Aluminium business growth and strategy, including development. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cape Town and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
