Pfizer names Cyrus Taraporevala as a Director

Pfizer Inc. announced the appointment of Cyrus Taraporevala to its Board of Directors, and he has also been appointed to Pfizer’s Audit Committee and Compensation Committee with immediate effect.

Taraporevala, 57, was the President and CEO of State Street Global Advisors from 2017 until 2022. Prior to that, he held various leadership roles at Fidelity, BNY Mellon, Legg Mason, and Citigroup. Earlier, he was a partner at McKinsey & Company, working in New York and Copenhagen. Currently, he is on the Boards of directors for Shell plc and Bridgepoint Group plc. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Financial Accounting from Sydenham College, University of Bombay, and an MBA from Cornell University.
