Jain Irrigation Systems Appoints Satish Mehta As Non-Executive Independent Director

The Board of Directors of Jain Irrigation Systems Limited has appointed Satish C. Mehta as an Additional Non-Executive Independent Director with effect from November 15, 2024.

Mehta is a former Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer who served from 1983 to 2015. Before the IFS, he served in the Indian Police Service (1980-83). During his IFS career, he worked closely with Prime Ministers Gujral and Vajpayee, handling relations with neighbouring countries and heading the Indian Council for Cultural Relations. He also served at the UN and held various key assignments in security, trade, and diplomacy. Mehta is a B.Com. graduate and Chartered Accountant and also holds a Certificate in International Negotiations from IIPA, Paris.
