Hindalco Industries Reappoints Sudhir Mital as Independent Director

On May 25, the Board of Directors of Hindalco Industries Limited approved the reappointment of Sudhir Mital as an Independent Director for five years, with effect from November 11, 2024. Subject to shareholders’ approval.

Sudhir Mital has been a former member of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) from the Punjab Cadre, Secretary to the Department of Fertilisers, Government of India, and Special Secretary to the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. Mital is also a former acting Chairman of the Competition Commission of India (CCI). He has professional experience in the fields of public policy and governance after nearly four decades of service.
