Glenmark Life’s Independent Director Gita Nayyar Resigned

Gita Nayyar has tendered her resignation as a Non-Executive, Independent Director of Glenmark Life Sciences Limited. Consequently, she will also cease to be a member of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee with effect from April 22, 2024, as informed by the company to the exchanges.

Nayyar is also a Director of Oriental Hotels Limited, PNB Housing Finance Limited, and Transport Corporation of India Limited. At Oriental Hotels Limited, she serves as the Chairperson of the Audit Committee, the Risk Management Committee, and as a Member of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee. At PNB Housing Finance, she is the Chairperson of the Stakeholders Relationship Committee and a member of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee. At Transport Corporation of India Limited, Nayyar Chairs the CSR Committee and is also a member of the Stakeholders Relationship Committee.

She is a member of the Governing Body of HelpAge India (one of the premier national NGOs serving the elderly) and a member of the Board of Governors of IIM-Udaipur. She is also the co- Udaipur, Co-Founder of Namaskar Ayurved, a luxury Ayurveda product start-up in the skin, hair, and wellness arenas. She has a strong track record of successful angel and seed investments in the past. She holds a master’s in business administration from the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration, Dartmouth College, U.S.A.
