Chandra Shekhar Ghosh To Head The Holding Company of Bandhan Group

Chandra Shekhar Ghosh, who will retire from his post as Managing Director (MD) of the Bandhan bank on July 9, is likely to take over as the head of Bandhan Financial Services, according to a report in the Economic Times.

Bandhan Financial Services holds about 40% of the bank through its wholly owned subsidiary, Bandhan Financial Holding.

A report suggests that Ghosh will oversee Bandhan’s insurance and mutual fund ventures, as well as the bank’s operations.

On July 10, Bandhan Financial Services is scheduled to hold a board meeting to appoint Ghosh as Executive Director.

His inclusion on the Board of Bandhan Financial Services does not require prior approval from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). As per regulations, any director must meet the fit and proper criteria, and the central bank must be informed of the appointment.
