Asian Paints Appoints Varun Berry As Independent Director

The Board of Directors of Asian Paints Limited, on September 10, 2024, has approved the appointment of Varun Berry as an Independent Director for five years with effect from October 23, 2024. Subject to the approval of the shareholders of the company.

Varun Berry joined Britannia Industries Ltd. as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in January 2013, and currently he is Vice Chairman and MD. He is also the Chairman of Go First. Berry has attended a course in strategic management from Wharton University and the Global Leadership Program at IMD, Switzerland. He has an experience of over 38 years with premier companies like Hindustan Unilever and PepsiCo, both in India and overseas, and a successful track record in leading start-ups, turnarounds, joint ventures, and growth businesses. He is also on the Board and committees of the Board of several other leading companies. He holds a Bachelor degree from Punjab Engineering College, Panjab University, and an MBA from University Business School, Panjab University.
