Deepak Agarwal Returns To LinkedIn As CAIO To Lead AI Innovations

LinkedIn has appointed Deepak Agarwal as its Chief AI Officer (CAIO) to lead the platform’s artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives.

This marks Agarwal’s second tenure at LinkedIn, where he previously served as Vice President (VP) of AI for eight years. He brings 24 years of experience in engineering and AI roles, including leadership positions at Yahoo and Pinterest, where he was CAIO and VP of Consumer and Trust Engineering.

In a LinkedIn post, Agarwal highlighted AI’s central role in enhancing member experiences, fostering professional connections, and enabling opportunities. Last week, LinkedIn introduced an AI-driven feature aimed at helping job seekers align skills with open positions, addressing challenges highlighted in its recent report on evolving job market trends.
