Zarin Daruwala to Retire as CEO of Standard Chartered India

Zarin Daruwala, Chief Executive Officer of Standard Chartered India and Southeast Asia, will retire on April 1, 2025, after an eight-year tenure.

With over 35 years of experience in banking, Daruwala’s leadership focused on cross-border solutions in Corporate & Investment Banking and Wealth Management, while also enhancing Wealth & Retail Banking. She consistently promoted a strong risk and compliance culture. The bank will announce Daruwala’s replacement in due time, demonstrating its commitment to shifting leadership in the face of changing market realities.
