KV Kamath Pledges To Deliver Concise SEBI Compliance Guidelines For The Indian Industry Soon

KV Kamath, Chairman of the Industry Standards Forum, comprising apex industry chambers CII, FICCI and Assocham, announced on Wednesday that significant progress has been made towards putting in place new standards in compliance with SEBI regulations.

Kamath also stated that the Forum is engaging in thorough discussions with industry representatives in consultation with SEBI.

In the pipeline are specific compliance standards for ESG disclosures mandated by SEBI within the Business Responsibility and Sustainability Reporting (BRSR) Core framework, along with relevant assurance requirements.

The Forum would address disclosure requirements under Regulations 30 and 30A of the LODR Regulations after the first set of standards is finalised.
