Subramaniam Narayanan Appointed Independent Director of Jyothy Labs

The Board of Directors of Jyothy Labs Limited has approved the appointment of Subramaniam Narayanan as an additional Director designated as an Independent Director with effect from December 15, 2023, for a term of 5 years. Subject to the approval of shareholders of the company.

Subramaniam Narayanan is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). Narayanan has been one of the pioneers of private equity in India since 1997. He has more than 30 years of experience as a business builder across technology and start-up companies. He helps companies uncover opportunities that support aggressive business advancement across various sectors, such as Manufacturing, Banking, Information Technology and Green Technology. He has a consistent record of positioning organisations for success and has deep proficiency in empowering individuals and growing billion-dollar businesses globally. He has served on the Boards of several reputed companies. He is the founder and Director of Mcap Fund Advisors. He also advises offshore investors on private equity and public market investments across the Financial Services, Information Technology, Green Energy and retail consumption sectors. He has spent 12 very successful years as a founding member of Barings Private Equity Partners India, where he spearheaded all functions related to asset management. Prior to his stint at Barings, he was the CEO of First India Asset Management, and handled Treasury services for Bank of America and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank. He is the founding Chairman of the Venture Capital Association of India (VCAI).
