Whole Time Director of Jindal Steel & Power Sabyasachi Bandyopadhyaya Appointed as MD

Sabyasachi Bandyopadhyay, Wholetime Director of Jindal Steel & Power Limited will be assuming the post of Managing Director, for the time-being. He replaced Bimlendra Jha, who resigned from Company, due to personal reasons, with effect from January 31, 2024. He will continue to be associated with the Company in the capacity of Advisor.

Sabyasachi Bandyopadhyay has experience of leading diverse functions including operations, steel technology, digitalisation, supply chain, strategic sourcing, and sales and marketing, with keen interest in leveraging advanced digital solutions and technology across the steel value chain. He has experience in working with cross-cultural workforce in multiple countries and various steel technologies in global setup. He has been involved in the Company’s steel business units for over 9 years. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgy form Jadavpur University and is an M-Tech in Extractive Metallurgy from NIT, Durgapur.
