Venu Srinivasan redesignated as Non-Executive Chairman of TVS Holdings

TVS Holdings announced the change in the role of Chairman Emeritus and Managing Director Venu Srinivasan with effect from 11th August 2023. Venu Srinivasan is now designated as Non-Executive Chairman of the company.

Lakshmi Venu, the Managing Director and Director of the company, retired from the post on 11th August  2023. The Chief Executive Officer Vivek Joshi has also retired. R Gopalan is Re-appointed as Non Executive Director.

Venu Srinivasan took over as the CEO of Sundaram-Clayton, the holding Company of TVS Motor, in 1979. In the same year, TVS Motor Company was born and under Venu Srinivasan’s persistent and diligent work grew to be the third largest two-wheeler manufacturing unit in India. He is also the Managing Director of TVS Holdings. Venu Srinivasan is an engineer and an MBA from Purdue University (USA).

Lakshmi Venu is expert in the areas of strategy, corporate affairs, product design and sales & marketing. Lakshmi Venu has been the Joint Managing Director of Sundaram – Clayton Limited, the holding Company from 2010. Lakshmi Venu is also the Deputy Managing Director of TAFE Motors and Tractors Limited. Lakshmi Venu, is a graduate of Yale University, and holds a Doctorate in Engineering Management from the University of Warwick.
