UPL Appoints M.V. Bhanumathi As Non-Executive Independent Director

The Board of Directors of UPL Limited on January 31, 2025, has approved the appointment of M. V. Bhanumathi as an Additional Director (Non-Executive Independent) for the first term of five years effective from February 1, 2025, subject to the approval of the members.

Carlos Pellicer has tendered his resignation as a Non-Executive Director w.e.f. January 31, 2025 to pursue his passion in the field of sustainable agriculture and social causes in Brazil.

Hardeep Singh will complete his second term as an Independent Director on February 1, 2025.

V. Bhanumathi has 36 years of experience. Joined Indian Revenue Service in the year 1987 and retired as the Director General of Income Tax Investigation of Mumbai region. She has served as the co-chairperson of Asia Pacific Regional Review Group. She serves as an expert adviser on Tax Crime in the panel of UNDP. She is an Independent Director at Adani Ports and SEZ, Shriram Finance and is also associated with UPL Group as an Independent Director on the Board of UPL Sustainable Agri Solutions. She is a trustee in Pratham Mumbai. She was a recipient of Kusumtai S.B. Chavan medal for best participation in the Advanced Programme in Public Administration. She has done B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree in Agriculture from Tamil Nadu Agriculture University, Bachelor of Law from Delhi University, M Phil from Punjab University and MBA from Indian Institute of Public Administration.
