Sanjiv Garg Resigned from the post of Independent Director of Shalimar Paints

Sanjiv Garg has tendered his resignation as Non-Executive Independent Director of Shalimar Paints Limited with effect from August 9, 2024, due to his other professional commitments and preoccupations.

Garg is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of JindalX. He has experience working for both Indian and international organisations. He has worked in the US nuclear power industry and has led several businesses in India. Recently, he spearheaded a major project in Rajasthan focused on the exploration and mining of low-grade iron ore, along with the development of a downstream beneficiation and pellet plant. Additionally, he is an investor in emerging technologies, mainly nanomaterials and machine learning. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi, and has earned his master’s degree from Northwestern University, USA.
