Renu Sud Karnad Appointed as Non-Executive Independent Director at EIH

The Board of Directors of EIH Limited has appointed Renu Sud Karnad as an Additional Director under the category of Non-Executive Independent Director, with effect from January 5, 2024, for a first term of five years. Subject to the approval of the members of the company.

Renu Sud Karnad was the Managing Director of Housing Development Finance Corporation Limited. Karnad became a Non-Executive Director on HDFC Bank’s Board. She has been instrumental in the merger of HDFC bank with its parent company, HDFC. She is currently the President of the International Union for Housing Finance (IUHF), an association of global housing finance firms. She has been on the boards of various firms, which include Bosch Limited, ABB India, and HDFC Life Insurance Company Limited. She has been facilitated with numerous awards and accolades from various entities, including CNBC-TV18, India Today, U.S. Banker magazine, and the Wall Street Journal Asia. She was listed as one of the top 10 women to watch out for in Asia by the Wall Street Journal. She is a Master in Economics from the University of Delhi and has a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Mumbai.
