Lotus Chocolate Appointed CEO, CFO and Statutory Auditor
Lotus Chocolate announced the appointments of Sikander Aman Khullar as Chief Executive Officer and S Gautham as Chief Financial Officer and key managerial professionals of the company on 19th July 2023. The company’s CFO, Vivekanand Narayan Prabhu, resigned on July 18 2023.
Sikander Aman Khullar has more than 27 years of experience working across the value chain in the FMCG industry in Bangladesh, India, and Georgia. The new CEO has experience working with MNCs and even family-run businesses, and has exposure to industries like tea, coffee, spices, preserves, mineral water, and edible oils.
S Gautham, the organisation’s new Chief Financial Officer, has more than 15 years of leadership expertise in finance, mergers and acquisitions, sizable capital expenditures, and factory financial operations across a variety of industries, including FMCG and papers.
Additionally, Lotus Chocolate announced that its statutory auditors have been replaced by Deloitte Haskins & Sells LLP after VDNR & Associates announced its resignation on August 10, 2023. On August 10, following the end of Lotu Chocolate’s 34th Annual General Meeting, Deloitte will begin serving as the company’s auditors for a period of five years.
Reliance Consumer Products (RCPL) had earlier in May said that it had finished buying a majority share in Lotus Chocolate Company. For a total of Rs 74 crore, RCPL finalised the purchase of a 51% investment in Lotus Chocolate. For an additional Rs 25 crore, RCPL subscribed for non-cumulative redeemable preference shares of Lotus Chocolate.
