Keki Mistry to Step Down as Non-Executive Director of HDFC AMC

Housing Development Finance Corp. Ltd. (HDFC) CEO, Keki Mistry, will step down from his position as the non-executive director of HDFC Asset Management Co. (HDFC AMC), as stated in an exchange filing. Mistry’s retirement coincides with his eligibility for reappointment at the upcoming annual general meeting of HDFC AMC on June 26.However, he has expressed his intention not to seek reappointment.

During an interview with BQ Prime in 2022, Mistry alluded to his intention to retire after the merger of HDFC Bank and HDFC.This merger between the bank and the mortgage entity, is estimated to be valued at approximately $40 billion.
