Independent Director Bakul Dholakia Retired from the Board of Arvind

The second term of Dr. Bakul Dholakia as an Independent Director of Arvind Limited is expiring on July 31, 2024.

Dr. Bakul H. Dholakia, a former Director of IIM Ahmedabad and Director General of the International Management Institute, Delhi, has 47 years of experience. Before joining IMI, he led the Adani Institute of Infrastructure Management and the Gujarat Adani Institute of Medical Sciences in Bhuj. His tenure at IIM Ahmedabad spans 33 years, during which he held the Reserve Bank of India Chair, served as Dean, and was the Director. He received the Best Professor Award for the Postgraduate Programme at IIM Ahmedabad and has guided 20 Ph.D. students in Economics, Finance, Business Policy, and Public Systems. His contributions to education earned him the Padma Shri from the Government of India. He received the Bharat Asmita National Award for management education and the AIMA Award for Excellence in Academic Leadership. He served on the Reserve Bank of India’s Western Area Board and chaired the National Board of Accreditation for Technical Education. His government committee work includes the Rangarajan Committee on Petroleum Pricing and the Expert Group on Pension Fund.
