Goldman Appoints Ex-CFO David Viniar as Lead Independent Director

Goldman Sachs’ Board has decided that Adebayo Ogunlesi, the Lead Director and Chair of the Governance Committee, will not seek re-election at the 2024 Annual Meeting and will retire.

The Independent Directors have chosen David Viniar as the new Lead Independent Director. The Board, following the Governance Committee’s recommendation, has also approved Viniar as Chair of the Governance Committee and appointed Thomas Montag as Chair of the Risk Committee.

These changes will take effect upon Ogunlesi’s retirement.
