Dr. S P Vasireddi to return as Executive Chairman of Vimta Labs

Effective from July 1, 2023, Dr. S. P. Vasireddi has been appointed as Executive Chairman of Vimta Labs Ltd. His term will be from July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2026. He is 75 years old and as per the Companies Act, 2013, his appointment as Executive Director & Chairman requires a special resolution approved by members. Dr.Vasireddi holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry and has more than 45 years of experience in managing laboratory and contract research organisations. He founded Vimta Labs Ltd and served as its Chairman & Managing Director until July 15, 2013. Subsequently, he was designated as Executive Chairman until June 30, 2018, and later as Non-Executive Chairman. Dr.Vasireddi has rich knowledge and experience and has been nominated as a member on the Advisory/Governing Boards of several top organisations in India. Some of his notable associations include being a member of the Central Advisory Committee of Food Safety & Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), a member of the Governing Board of NABL, Chairperson of NABL Risk Management Committee, member of the National Committee of CII National Committee on Drugs and Pharmaceuticals, and a member of the Research Council of National Physical Laboratories, India. Additionally, he also serves as the Chairman of the Calibration Committee of National Physical Laboratories, India. Dr.Vasireddi has played a crucial role in setting up the VIMTA-UNIDO South South Cooperation Training Center, which is a centre of excellence.
