Dmart Appoints Amit Jain And Parvez Vandrewala As COO

The Board of Directors of Avenue Supermarts Limited has approved the appointment of Amit Jain and Parvez Vandrewala, presently Vice President-Operations, as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Senior Management Personnel (SMP) with effect from October 17, 2024.

Amit Jain has 20 years of experience. His most recent position was Head of Sales for India Business at Godrej Consumer Product Ltd. (GCPL). He has also worked with Dabur India Ltd., Perfetti Van Melle, and TVS Motor. He has a PGDBM in marketing and a bachelor’s degree in engineering.

Parvez Vandrewala joined the company in 2021 as Vice President of Activities, where he oversaw activities in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, and the National Capital Region. Parvez has 36 years of expertise in different businesses, including Hindustan Unilever Ltd., Hindustan Times, Midday Multimedia Ltd., and Piramal HealthCare. He has a bachelor’s degree in commerce and finished an Executive Education Program at IIM Bangalore.

The Board has appointed Mr. Bhaskaran N, Chief Operating Officer-Retail, as an Additional Director, Whole-time Director (Key Managerial Personnel) of the Company for a term of 2 (two) years effective October 17, 2024, subject to the approval of shareholders of the Company.
