Anupam Rasayan Appoints Gopal Agrawal As CEO

Anupam Rasayan, a chemical manufacturing company, announced the appointment of Gopal Agrawal as the Chief Executive Officer with effect from September 11, 2023. The company has also appointed Ashish Gupta as Company Secretary with effect from September 7, 2023.

Gopal Agrawal is a qualified chartered accountant with nearly 22 years of experience. He has an experience of successfully spearheading over 200+ transactions across sectors and geographies globally. This involved private equity deals and M&A of several billion USD with domestic and international clients. He has worked extensively on M&A, partnering with investment bankers across Japan, Europe, the UK, and the US, and is a highly regarded banker in the India-Japan corridor. He was responsible for devising and executing the growth strategies, capitalization, and restructuring for Indian corporates and MNCs globally and was a member of the core management committee of the Edelweiss Group. He served as the Managing Director and Head of the Investment Banking Business at Edelweiss.

Before joining Edelweiss, Agrawal was a partner at Singhi Advisors. Prior to that, he worked with Ernst & Young and Mahajan &Aibara. In his initial part of his career, he worked on the management consulting side, which included work on supply chain management, operational excellence, cost optimisation, manpower rationalisation, and performance improvement for clients like Unilever, Pfizer, BASF, and Raymond Group. His core specialisation, among others, has been industrial and manufacturing in general.

Prior to his appointment as Company Secretary and Compliance Officer Ashish Gupta was acting as the Deputy Company Secretary and Compliance Officer of Anupam Rasayan since March 16, 2023. He has an overall experience of almost a decade working with reputed companies in the business of Water Transport, Real Estate and Manufacturing sector. Ashish Gupta is an associate member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India and has also completed the Master of Commerce (M.Com.) degree.
