Swiggy Appoints Faraz Khalid As Independent Director & Reappoints Shailesh Vishnubhai Haribhakti

Faraz Khalid has been appointed as Non-Executive Independent Director of Swiggy Limited with effect from July 25, 2025, subject to the approval of shareholders.

Further, Shailesh Vishnubhai Haribhakti has been reappointed as Non-Executive Independent Director of the company, effective January 24, 2026.

The company also appointed Cauveri Sriram as Company Secretary and Compliance Officer, with effect from July 25, 2025.

Meanwhile, Sumer Juneja and Anand Daniel have resigned as the Nominee Directors of the company, with effect from July 25, 2025, due to other professional commitments.

Additionally, Venkatraman Ramachandran steps down as Interim Company Secretary and Compliance Officer of the company, with effect from July 24, 2025.

Faraz Khalid is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Noon, a leading consumer commerce platform in the region. Under his leadership, Noon has evolved into a dynamic ecosystem offering services across marketplaces for food delivery, quick commerce, fintech, and fashion. Before joining Noon, he co-founded and served as Managing Director (MD) at Namshi, a prominent fashion e-commerce platform. He brings a strong blend of technical expertise and business acumen, with a track record of building and scaling digital businesses across diverse sectors. Khalid is an engineer by training and holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Haribhakti is a distinguished Chartered and Cost Accountant with over five decades of experience, also certified as an internal auditor, financial planner, and fraud examiner. He chairs Shailesh Haribhakti & Associates and serves as Vice Chairman of GovEVA Consulting Pvt Ltd. He pioneered the concept of ‘Innovate to Zero’ and promotes technology-enabled CSR, ESG, and green practices. He is closely associated with Board Stewardship and is a regular contributor to Board Stewardship, India’s first board-focused e-magazine. Haribhakti has served on SEBI committees and represented India on the IASB’s Standards Advisory Council. He holds an honorary PhD from ITM University and the GCBD designation from Competent Boards, Canada. His leadership extends across several professional institutions and dispute resolution forums, both in India and abroad.
