Sunalini Menon, Independent Director Of Tata Coffee, Has Retired

Sunalini Menon has retired after completing her term as an Independent Director of Tata Coffee on October 31, 2023. Menon has over 38 years of experience, and she currently serves as the President of Coffeelab Ltd. and is a Special Lecturer at the Universita del Caffe de Trieste in Italy. She is also involved in organisations like the Advisory Committee of the Alliance for Coffee Excellence and the Board of Trustees of the Coffee Quality Institute of the Specialty Coffee Association of America. She worked as a volunteer for the Coffee Quality Institute in Africa and Southeast Asia.

She has received awards for her outstanding contributions to the coffee industry, including the Eminent Personality Award for Outstanding Contribution to Indian Coffee from the Specialty Coffee Association of India, the Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Women’s Coffee Alliance, the Specialty Coffee Association of America with the Leadership Medal of Merit, and the Alfred Peet Passionate Cup Award. Furthermore, she received the First Lady Achievers Award for being Asia’s First Professional Woman Coffee Taster, presented by the President of India. She holds a postgraduate degree in food technology from the University of Madras, India.
