Shivani Pandya Malhotra, Red Sea Film Festival’s MD Joins Golden Globes
Shivani Pandya Malhotra, executive director of the Red Sea International Film Festival, has been appointed the ninth and final member of the Golden Globes’ new Membership Board of Directors. This board is in charge of selecting and approving journalists to vote in the 81st Annual Golden Globe Awards, which will be held on January 7, 2024. Their responsibility is to keep the voting process to tight standards. Five of the nine members are entertainment or media specialists, while four are Golden Globe Association members.
Shivani Pandya Malhotra took over as Managing Director of RSIFF in 2019 and has played a key role in its growth. She is also a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Previously, she was involved in launching Dubai Media City and led the Gulf Film Festival and the Dubai International Film Festival.
The 81st Golden Globe Awards will be overseen by Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner, with Weiss also serving as the director. The President of the Golden Globes, Helen Hoehne, is pleased to have Shivani on board and values her expertise in connecting with journalists from around the world.
