Sanjeev Nautiyal Resigns from LIC’s Board To Lead Ujjivan Small Finance
Sanjeev Nautiyal has submitted his resignation as an Independent Director of the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) with effect from May 31, 2024, along with his chairmanship and membership in various committees.
Sanjeev Nautiyal has been appointed as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Ujjivan Small Finance Bank, with effect from June 1, 2024. According to the Reserve Bank of India’s stipulations regarding the appointment, he must resign from all other advisory and Board positions before assuming the post at Ujjivan SFB. Consequently, he resigns from his position as an Independent Director at LIC.
Nautiyal will replace Ittira Davis, who is departing a few months before his term officially ends. Davis will assist Nautiyal to ensure a smooth transition.
Currently, Sanjeev Nautiyal advises various organisations and has over 3 decades of experience. He has expertise in retail banking, small and medium enterprises (SME), financial inclusion, operations, HR, international banking, and treasury. He is a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers from the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance and holds an MBA from the Department of Business Administration, University of Lucknow.
