Ratna Deep Ranjan Appointed As Non-Executive & Independent Director Of India Steel Works

Ratna Deep Ranjan has been named by the Board of India Steel Works Limited as an Additional Director (in the Non-Executive and Independent category) for a period of five years. The appointment is effective on December 11, 2023, subject to the approval of shareholders.

Ratna Deep Ranjan, 67, is a Certified Risk Management Expert with over 25 years of experience at the top executive and Board level in the IT, GIS, Utility data management, and Software Development industries. He is an alumni of prestigious institutions such as IIT Roorkee, Pune University, and BITS Pilani, and has worked as a guest faculty member in management at several prestigious institutions such as SIBM, Pune, and the University of Sutherland. He is actively advising businesses and helping to the Start-up India Programme, where he mentors numerous technology and business start-ups.

He also serves on the Boards of Verifarms Private Limited and Globalspace Technologies Limited.

His education includes an M.S. in Nuclear Physics and Electronics (1975) from IIT-Roorkee. He became a Chartered Engineer in Electronics and Telecom Engineering (1983) from the Institution of Engineers (India) and received an M.B.A. in Computer Management (1986) from the University of Pune. He also spent two years (1993–1995) doing research on IT Strategic Management.
