Rama Bijapurkar and Sudip Bandyopadhyay Re-appointed as Independent Director at VST Industries

The Board of Directors of VST Industries Limited approved the reappointment of Independent Directors Rama Bijapurkar and Sudip Bandyopadhyay with effect from April 1 and June 1, respectively. Reappointments are for a second term of 5 years, subject to the approval of the shareholders.

Rama Bijapurkar is a recognised thought leader on market strategy and India’s consumer economy and has over 30 years of experience in market strategy consulting and market research. Bijapurkar has her own independent market strategy consulting practice, is a widely experienced Independent Director and is also a visiting faculty member at IIM Ahmedabad. She is a Director on the Boards of Gokaldas Exports, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise, Cummins India, Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, and Sun Pharma Distributors Limited. She holds a B.Sc. (Hons) degree in Physics from Delhi University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from IIM Ahmedabad.

Sudip Bandyopadhyay is a rank-holder Chartered Accountant and a Cost Accountant with over 31 years of experience in various areas of finance and financial services. Bandyopadhyay is also a gold medallist from Calcutta University. He is currently the Group Chairman of the Inditrade (JRG) Group of Companies. Inditrade has a significant presence in Agri-commodity financing, microfinance businesses, and MSME lending. He sits on the Boards of a number of listed and unlisted domestic companies. He is also an investor in many Fintech and other technology-related ventures. He has a significant presence in business media through his regular interactions with leading business channels, business newspapers, and magazines.
