Pradeep R. Rathi, A.N. Roy, Bhumika L. Batra and Dr. Deepak R. Parikh Reappointed as Independent Directors of Finolex Industries

The Board of Directors of Finolex Industries Limited has approved the reappointment of Bhumika L. Batra, Dr. Deepak R. Parikh, Pradeep R. Rathi, and Anami N. Roy as Non-Executive and Independent Directors each for five years with effect from September 20, 2024. Subject to the approval of shareholders.

Bhumika L. Batra is a law graduate and a fellow member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). She has also completed an Executive Program in Management from Cornell University, USA. She is a Partner at Crawford Bayley & Co., one of the oldest law firms in India. She possesses over 20 years of experience in regulatory and legal practice, specialising in corporate law.

Dr. Deepak Parikh has 30+ years of experience. He has a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Tennessee and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering . from UDCT, Mumbai, India. Dr. Parikh is one of the co-inventors of the artificial heart at the University of Utah and holds 45+ USA patents.

Pradeep Rathi has completed his MS in Chemical Engineering from MIT, USA, and his MBA from Columbia University, USA. He is a past chairman of the Dyes and Dye Intermediate Sub-Committee and the Planning and Development and Exports Sub-Committee. He was also the past president of the Rotary Club of Poona. He acted as Chairman of the Foreign Trade Sub-Committee of the Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries, and Agriculture. He has been associated with Sudarshan Chemicals Limited for more than four decades and retired as a Managing Director of the company in 2018.

Anami N. Roy holds a Master’s Degree in History from the University of Allahabad and a Master of Philosophy in Public Administration. During his nearly four decades of dedicated tenure in the Indian Police Service, Roy held many diverse and challenging assignments both in the government of India and the state of Maharashtra. He retired as Director General of Police, Maharashtra. He was appointed by the President of India as an advisor to the Governor of the combined state of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in 2014. He serves as a member of the boards of directors of several prominent companies. Roy also consults with the India offices of international financial institutions, private equity funds, and prominent organisations in the financial sector. He is the co-founder of the Vandana Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation.
