NS Kannan appointed as an Independent Director of Wipro

Wipro Limited, a provider of information technology (IT) services, announced the Director of NS Kannan to its Board Of Directors as an Independent Director on 10th August 2023. Kannan will join six other Independent Directors at the Bengaluru-based company after retiring as Managing Director and CEO of insurance company ICICI Prudential Life Insurance. He previously worked as an advisor to DHFL’s bankruptcy case after being appointed by the Reserve Bank, and he was also chairman of the Life & General Insurance Councils’ regulatory review committee and a member of the Insurance Advisory Committee of India’s insurance regulator.
