Mahindra CIE Automotive Ltd appoints Jairaj Purandare as ID

Jairaj Purandare, the Founder Chairman of JMP Advisors Pvt Ltd, has been appointed as an Independent Director at Mahindra CIE Automotive Limited, effective from June 10, 2023. Renowned for his expertise in accounting, tax, and business advisory matters, Jairaj possesses more than four decades of experience, establishing himself as an authority in the field of tax and regulation. He previously held leadership positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers India as Regional Managing Partner, Chairman of Tax, and Country Leader for Markets & Industries. Jairaj also served as Chairman of Ernst & Young India (EY) and was the Country Head of the Tax & Business Advisory practice at Andersen India.

He brings extensive expertise in advising prominent clients across various sectors including Financial Services, Power, Infrastructure, Telecom, Media, Pharma, and Auto. His firm, JMP Advisors, has consistently been recognized as a leading Tax firm in India. Jairaj is a distinguished speaker and has presented numerous papers on topics such as international tax, transfer pricing, M&As, and the Indian Budget and Economy.

In addition to his role at Mahindra CIE Automotive Limited, he serves as an Independent Director on the Boards of three other large companies. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree from the University of Bombay. His qualifications, affiliations, and extensive experience make him a valuable addition to the board of Mahindra CIE Automotive Limited.
