Lloyd’s of London Names Charles Roxburgh As New Chair
Lloyd’s of London announced on Thursday that Charles Roxburgh will be its next Chairperson, replacing Bruce Carnegie-Brown after eight years in the position.
Roxburgh, who has held various prominent positions in government and the financial sector, will officially assume the position on May 1, according to the insurance marketplace.
Carnegie-Brown’s exit comes as Lloyd’s, a 350-year-old marketplace with over 50 specialist insurers, reported a profitable first half.
Roxburgh brings extensive experience from both the UK government and private sector, including supporting key initiatives at Lloyd’s. He spent 26 years at McKinsey, holding several leadership roles such as Co-Head of the Global Strategy Practice and Head of the UK Financial Institutions Group.
