Jubilant Pharmova Appoints Harsh Mahajan & Shivpriya Nanda as Independent Directors
The Board of Directors of Jubilant Pharmova Limited appointed Dr. Harsh Mahajan and Shivpriya Nanda as Additional Directors (Non-Executive, Independent) with effect from April 1, 2024, for five years. Subject to the approval of the shareholders.
Furthermore, Srinivasan Sridhar, Sudha Pillai, and Dr. Ashok Misra, the Independent Directors of the company, will complete their second term on March 31, 2024, and accordingly cease to be the Independent Directors on the Board the company informed.
Harsh Mahajan, 64, is the founder and MD of Mahajan Imaging. After a short stint at AIIMS, New Delhi, he won the Rotary International Scholarship to pursue a fellowship in MRI from the MD Anderson Cancer Centre in Houston. He has been a speaker at events hosted by MIT in Boston, the Radiology Society of North America in Chicago, the European Society of Radiology in Vienna, and has delivered lectures in Japan, South Korea, China, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, and all neighbouring countries. He has received many accolades and awards, including the Padma Shri in 2002. He was the National President of the Indian Radiology and Imaging Association. He is a consultant to the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna, an advisor to the UPSC, and on other government committees. He is an active social worker associated with several NGOs. He is Chairman of Tamana, a trustee of the Rotary Gift of Life Trust, and has been on the Board of Governors of Shri Ram College of Commerce. He has also been active in professional associations like FICCI, serving as the Chairman of its Health Services Committee. He did his MBBS from Maulana Azad Medical College and his MD in Radiology from PGI, Chandigarh.
Shivpriya Nanda, 60, is currently the Joint Managing Partner of J. Sagar Associates. As a lawyer, Nanda has extensive experience spanning over 30 years in M&A, corporate restructuring, strategic joint ventures, corporate advisory, shareholder issues, bribery, and anti-corruption investigations. She has represented and advised several multinational corporations and enterprises with a specialty in multiple sectors. She advises international majors on large infrastructure projects in the transport, aviation, and mining sectors. She has been consistently ranked as a top-tier lawyer in various publications. She has been ranked as one of the leading lawyers by Legal 500, IBLJ, and Chambers consecutively for the past several years. She has also received several client recommendations, including in RSG. She is passionate about giving back to the community and is the founding member of the Society of Women Lawyers in India. She has, for several years, spearheaded pro-bono activities of the firm and serves on the Pro Bono Council of Trust Law. holds a bachelor’s degree with honours in history from Lady Shri Ram College, New Delhi, and a bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Delhi.
