Jindal Worldwide’s Independent Director Jasdev Rait And CS Chetna Dharajiya have resigned

Jasdev Kaur Rait, in a letter dated April 12, 2024, has tendered her resignation as Non-Executive Independent Director of Jindal Worldwide Limited. The resignation is effective at the close of business hours on April 13, 2024. She has cited her preoccupation and personal commitments as the reasons for leaving the Board position.

She has a rich experience of three decades in public sector banking with Oriental Bank of Commerce, which later merged with Punjab National Bank. Rait took VRS last serving in the position of an Assistant General Manager. Post VRS she gained four years of training experience as panel faculty with IFBI and as a consultant with Manipal Global Education Services.

She has a Bachelor of Science in Medical from Punjab University, Chandigarh, and a Master of Science in Bio-Chemistry from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana. She completed her CAIIB (Certified Associate of India Institute of Bankers) examination conducted by the ‘Indian Institute of Banking and Finance’. She possesses around 34 years of diverse experience in banking, mentoring, and training.

In a separate statement, the company informed exchanges that Chetna Dharajiya, Company Secretary and Compliance Officer of the company, has also tendered her resignation on April 12, 2024, which will be effective on April 15, 2024. Dharajiya has cited her intent to pursue personal and professional growth opportunities in her resignation letter.

Dharajiya had joined Jindal Worldwide in December 2022. Earlier, she served as the company secretary of Gujarat Ambuja Exports Limited for over seven years.
