Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan Appoints Rob Bruckner As CTO In Leadership Reshuffle

Intel has named Rob Bruckner as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO), following a leadership reorganisation led by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Lip-Bu Tan.

Along with Bruckner, senior executives Mike Hurley and Lisa Pearce will also report directly to Tan.
The change is part of Tan’s plan to simplify the company’s management structure and bring top technical leaders closer to executive decision-making. Intel’s data centre, AI chip, and personal computer chip divisions will now be under Tan’s direct oversight.

Bruckner began his career at Intel in 1997 and played a key role in scaling its business from USD 750 million to USD 1.3 billion, later expanding into the mobile segment. In 2016, he led Intel’s RFIC and PMIC Development, becoming Vice President in 2018. Under his leadership, the team delivered critical 5G RF transceivers for Apple. After a brief stint as Senior Director at Apple, he rejoined Intel in 2021. Bruckner holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida and is known for his expertise in computer engineering and technology leadership.
