Four Independent Directors Of MTNL Retire

Sarv Daman Bharat, Deepika Mahajan, Yogesh Kumar Tamrakar, and Vishwas Pathak ceased to be Independent Directors of Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) on completion of their tenure w.e.f. November 1, 2024.

Sarv Daman Bharat is the former state president of Bharat Vikas Parishad Punjab and also a National Executive Member. He has done B.Com., M.A. (Economics), LL.B., and Diploma in Project Planning Evaluation & Control.

Deepika Mahajan has more than 26 years of standing at Bar. Practicing at the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir, and the Courts subordinate to it. Practicing both the original and appellate sides in constitutional civil, criminal, and claim cases. Mahajan has also worked as the Central Government. Counsel for the Union of India for more than 14 years. She has done M.A. and LLB.

Yogesh Kumar Tamrakar has been involved in industrial work since the year 1983 with experience in different fields like ceramic pipes, pulp and paper industry (Kraft & Newsprint), solar power plants, warehousing, etc. He has a Bachelor of Commerce Certification in Industrial Management.

Vishwas Pathak is a corporate management professional with hands-on experience in the private and public sectors, serving on the Boards of various corporations in verticals such as Infrastructure, Manufacturing, Telecom, Aviation, Web & Print Media, Power, and banking. Pathak has done M. Com. and LLB. and is an FCS (Fellow Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India).
