24th International Conference On Environment Management And Climate Change

The 24th edition of the annual flagship event of the Institute of Directors, India (IOD) – The International Conference on Environment Management and Climate Change (WCEM) will be held from 22 – 23, June, 2023 in Bengaluru (India). The Congress theme will focus on “Board’s Strategy towards a Green Economy (Climate Change, Biodiversity and Pricing of Natural Capital)”. Thiswill be major global eventwhichwill also provide inputs for COP28.

Climate Change is the defining issue of our time and we are at a defining moment. From shiftingweather patterns that threaten food production, to rising sea levels that increase the risk of catastrophic flooding, the impacts of climate change are global in scope and unprecedented in scale. Without drastic action today, adapting to these impacts in the future will be more difficult and costly. The Congress will focus on various global, regional, national and coastal zone issues.

The roadmap will include detailed steps for all sectors and themes, including climate adaptation, loss and damage, finance, technology and capacity building all important for COP28 to promote climate friendly people-centric development. To discuss current Environmental Challenges, IOD is bringing together leading representatives from international organizations, government, business & industries, research and academia official representatives from a number of countries are invited to address.
