EPL Appoints Onkar Ghangurde as Company Secretary
Onkar Ghangurde, appointed as the Company Secretary and Compliance Officer of EPL Limited with effect from September 4, 2023. Ghangurde is an Associate Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). He has an overall experience of nearly 14 years in Legal, Compliance, Governance and Secretarial Matters, for both Equity and High Value Debt Listed entities. In the past, he has been associated with Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail (ABFRL), Kansai Nerolac Paints and Tata International (TIL). He is a Company Secretary and a law graduate from ILS Law College, Pune.
EPL also announced the appointment of Shashank Sinha as a Non-Executive, Independent Director for a period of 5 consecutive years commencing from September 4, 2023. He founded Wabi Sabi Advisory LLP, where he brings to bear his wide international experience and deep industry knowledge. He has served on the board of several companies in India and overseas and is currently on the board of Strides Consumer Pvt. Ltd. and Fullife Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. Earlier he served as MD & CEO of Strides Pharma Science Limited (Strides) and headed the global flexibles business of Huhtamaki Oyj, a leading consumer packaging company headquartered in Espoo, Finland. He held leadership roles with Godrej Consumer Products Ltd., Navis Capital Partners, Sara Lee Corporation and Reckitt Benckiser plc.
He has a background in engineering and received his MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow.
Uwe Roehrhoff had tendered his resignation from the position as the Independent Director of the EPL, with effect from September 5, 2023. Apart from EPL Limited (formerly known as Essel Propack Limited), he serves as Director of the board of Ensinger GmbH. At Gerresheimer, he rose to the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chairman of the Management Board in 2010. He was the President and Chief Executive Officer and Director at Perrigo Company, a leading manufacturer of over-the-counter health and wellness solutions. He holds a business studies diploma from the University of Cologne.
