Deepak Nitrite Re-appointed Deepak C. Mehta as CMD
Deepak C. Mehta is Re-appointed as the Chairman and Managing Director of Deepak Nitrite Limited with effect from 14th December 2023. Dileep Choksi is Re-appointed as Independent Director with effect from 7th August 2023. While Girish Satarkar is appointed as Whole Time Director with effect from 4th August 2023. He replaced Sandesh Kumar Anand who recently retired from the Company.
With a career spanning almost five decades, Deepak C. Mehta has been at the forefront of India’s emergent Chemical Industry, steering Deepak Group into a market-leading prayer in the Chemical intermediates sector. He has regularly chaired & steered committees at industry fora, fervently striving to propel the nation, on a global leadership stage. He is the Chairman of the National Chemicals Committee-FlCCl, and the Sector Skills Council, FlCCl. He has served as a President of the Indian Chemicals Council (lCC) and a member of the ‘Task Force on Chemicals Industry’ constituted by the Government of India, to increase the competitiveness of India’s Chemical Industry. Mehta is a Science graduate from the University of Bombay.
Dileep C. Choksi has been a practicing professional for the past 44 years. He is a member of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners Limited (STEP). Prior to setting up C. C. Chokshi & Co., he was a Joint Managing Partner, National Leader – Tax and Financial Advisory Services of Deloitte, India until 2008. He has also been on the Boards of the Taxation Committee of the Indian Merchant Chamber and the Bombay Chamber of Commerce & Industry. He has worked with Shri N. A. Palkhivala in the preparation of the most prominent book of Kanga and Palkhivala. Choksi is a Chartered Accountant with a bachelor’s degree in law and a member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India.
Girish Satarkar, aged 59, has done B. Sc. (Tech) and M. Sc. (Tech) in Textile Chemistry from the Institute of Chemical Technology, ICT (formerly UDCT) University of Mumbai. He has also done Masters of Marketing Management (MMM) from Welingkar Institute of Management, University of Mumbai.
