Century Textiles & Industries Appoints K. T. Jithendran as Non-Independent Director

The appointment of K. T. Jithendran as an Additional Director on the Board of Century Textiles & Industries Limited in the category of Non-Executive and Non-Independent with effect from July 15, 2024. The appointment was approved by the shareholders on July 23, 2024.

The Board has approved the appointment of Sunirmal Talukdar as an Independent director, commencing from July 24, 2024, to December 5, 2026.

Furthermore, the Board has approved the appointment of Pramod Kabra as an Independent Director for five years, commencing on July 24, 2024.

The Board has also approved the appointment of K.T. Jithendran as a Non-Executive and Non-Independent Director on the Board of the company.

Lastly, the reappointment of Kumar Mangalam Birla as Director, who retires by rotation.

K. T. Jithendran has more than 32 years of experience, and he is the Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Birla Estates Private Limited, a real estate venture of the Aditya Birla Group and a subsidiary of Century Textiles and Industries Limited. Prior to joining Birla Estates, he was Executive Director of Godrej Properties and Director on the Board of Godrej Properties. Prior to GPL, he worked with Mecon India as Metallurgical Engineering Consultant. He has completed his Advanced Management Programme at Harvard Business School. He has done civil engineering from IIT Kharagpur and also his postgraduation from IIM Calcutta.
