BSE Chairman Pramod Agrawal Steps Down Amid New Tata Steel Role
Pramod Agrawal has resigned as BSE Chairperson and Public Interest Director effective immediately on November 8, after his recent appointment as an Additional Director at Tata Steel with effect from December 11, 2024.
Agrawal will chair the stakeholders’ relationship committee and contribute to Tata Steel’s audit, safety, health, and environment committees. Agrawal has a diverse history that includes serving as CMD of Coal India and over 30 years of experience as an IAS official. He also holds Director positions at Infrastructure Leasing and Financial Services and Century Plyboards India. He took over as chairperson of the BSE in 2023.
