
Boeing Appoints Don Ruhmann As Chief Aerospace Safety Officer
Boeing has named Don Ruhmann as its new Chief Aerospace Safety Officer following the retirement of Mike Delaney.
Ruhmann, who joined Boeing in 1989, was previously Vice President (VP) of Aeroplane Development at Boeing Commercial Aeroplanes. From 2013 to 2020, he held leadership roles on the 777 and 777X programs, managing engineering performance and integration. He also served as regional VP of Commercial Aviation Services for the Middle East, Russia, Central Asia, and Africa, supporting airline technical and operational needs. Ruhmann holds a master’s degree in Applications of Physics from the University of Washington and a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from Texas A&M University. He completed executive education at Columbia University and serves on Texas A&M’s College of Engineering’s Industry Advisory Council.
