Biocon Appoints Atul Dhawan as Executive Director

The Directors of Biocon Limited have approved the appointment of Atul Dhawan as an Independent Director of the company, with effect from May 16, 2024.

The Board has also approved the reappointment of Siddharth Mittal as the Managing Director (MD) for five years effective December 1, 2024; the reappointment of Kiran Mazumdar Shaw as an Executive Director (designated as an Executive Chairperson) for five years commencing April 1, 2025; and the reappointment of Eric Vivek Mazumdar as Director.

Atul Dhawan is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (CAI). With over 30 years as a Deloitte partner, he brings four decades of experience in governance, strategy, and other diverse fields. He has served as Chairperson of the Deloitte South Asia Coordinating Board. He has held the position of Chair at the American Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, he serves on the Board of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) in Delhi. He served on the CII National Council and is an advisor to the U.S. India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) Board for diverse campaigns focused on India. He also holds a position on the Board of Plan India.
