Binance Holdings Appoints Gabriel Abed to the First-Ever Board of Directors
The world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, Binance Holdings Limited, has established a Board of Directors for the first time in response to efforts to enhance its reputation following a guilty plea to US allegations of anti-money laundering and sanctions breaches last year.
Gabriel Abed, former ambassador of Barbados to the United Arab Emirates, has been appointed chairman. The seven-member board also comprises CEO Richard Teng and three other company executives: Heina Chen, Jinkai He, and Lilai Wang. Additionally, two external members have joined: Arnaud Ventura, managing partner at investment firm Gojo & Co., and Xin Wang, CEO of Bayview Acquisition Corp. These appointments were confirmed effective March 7, as per the Abu Dhabi Global Market website.
