Bata India’s Independent Director Akshay Narendrasinhji Chudasama Retired

Bata India Limited has informed the stock exchange that Akshaykumar Narendrasinhji Chudasama has completed his second term of five years as an Independent Director of the company on August 3, 2024.

Akshay Chudasama is the Managing Partner at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co., overseeing the firm’s operations in the Mumbai region. He advises foreign companies on entering the Indian market and assists Indian companies with their outbound acquisitions. He is a registered advocate with the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa and a solicitor with the Law Society (England and Wales). He is also a member of the Bombay Bar Association, the International Bar Association, the Inter-Pacific Bar Association, the Entrepreneurs’ Organisation, and the Young Presidents’ Organisation. He has been practicing law since 1994, previously serving as a partner at AZB & Partners for over three years and at J. Sagar Associates (JSA) for nearly a decade. He currently serves as a director on the Board of Apollo Tyres Ltd. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from St. Xavier’s College (University of Bombay) and a law degree from the London School of Economics (University of London), UK.
